Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Web Developer provides website development and support for the university's web and digital properties, ensuring a seamless and engaging online experience. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing web applications, integrating systems, and implementing solutions that enhance usability, accessibility, and functionality. The Web Developer collaborates with multiple departments to ensure websites align with university branding, security, and technology standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Two years of professional experience in web development, website management, or a related field.
Licensure & Certifications: Preferred proficiency with: XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS Database administration and design with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and OracleObject oriented PHP programming in conjunction with database SQL programming, XML programming, working knowledge of content management systems, such as Wordpress, Drupal, or Omni CMS, MAMP/LAMP, Apache,Internet browser developer tools, current versions of Microsoft Active Directory
Preferred Qualifications:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree
• Preferred Experience: 1–3 years of relevant professional experience
• Preferred Degree Fields: Computer Science, Web Development or Web Design, Information Technology
• Preferred Certifications: AWS Developer certification, proficiency in front-end frameworks
