Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Academic Affairs Budget Analyst provides high-level budgetary, financial, and professional support to Academic Affairs units. This position serves as a key resource to program and departmental leadership, ensuring sound financial management, compliance with University guidelines, and alignment with institutional priorities. The incumbent is responsible for budget planning, forecasting, reporting, and oversight of financial operations, as well as providing guidance on fiscal policy and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 2 years of budgeting experience required.

Job Duties:

  • 45% - Budget Management: Serves as the budget manager for assigned Academic Affairs units/projects. Prepares and monitors annual budgets, reconciles accounts, and provides regular updates to leadership on financial status throughout the fiscal year. - ()
  • 25% - Financial Transactions and Reporting: Processes, tracks, and audits financial transactions in compliance with University policy. Prepares and analyzes financial and statistical reports to support data-driven decision-making. - ()
  • 15% - Strategic Financial Planning: Assists in the development of long-term financial models to support Academic Affairs’ strategic priorities. Conducts revenue and expense forecasting to guide resource allocation and planning. - ()
  • 15% - Other Duties: Supports the overall functions of Academic Affairs by completing special projects and assignments as needed. Provides training and technical guidance to support staff when appropriate. - ()
