Job Summary/Basic Functions

Library Student Assistants fulfill many roles at the EKU Library. Employees will receive training in customer service, materials shelving, technology troubleshooting, some light clerical processes, moving furniture and event set up. Library Student Assistants serve as the "face" of the library, primarily staffing the Help Desk. This position requires the ability and willingness to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of people, including patrons and library staff. Adaptability and flexibility are a must for the successful candidate.

The regular operation hours of EKU Libraries are as follows:
Sunday: 11am - 1am
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 1am
Friday: 7:30am - 8pm
Saturday: 11am - 6pm

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled at EKU
