Job Summary/Basic Functions

An EKU Construction and Repair Tech II assists the craft foreman and structural supervisor in implementing and completing assigned work orders including, but not limited to construction, demolition, removal and cleanup as well as assisting other areas of facilities services as
needed.

This position is defined as heavy work which involves exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently or 10 to 20 pounds of force constant to move objects .

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 3 years of experience required.

Job Duties:

  • 80% - Maintains campus from a structural stand point • Make minor repairs to sidewalks and roads. • Furniture assemble, disassemble and relocation. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Maintain records of time, materials and resources according to established procedures - (Essential)
  • 10% - Ensures efficient operations of facilities services by completing other duties as assigned - (Essential)
