Job Summary/Basic Functions

An EKU Construction and Repair Tech I assists the craft foreman and structural supervisor in implementing and completing assigned work orders including, but not limited to construction, demolition, removal, cleanup, and repair as well as assisting other areas of facilities services as needed.

Heavy Works involves exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently or 10 to 20 pounds of force constant to move objects .

Minimum Qualifications

Job Duties:

  • 10% - Facilitate - review assigned work orders, determine resources and supplies needed, make and document all necessary measurements - (Essential)
  • 65% - Complete the installation, general demolition, repair and installation - (Essential)
  • 10% - Assists others in the processing of general work orders - (Essential)
  • 5% - Maintain records of time, materials and resources - (Essential)
  • 10% - Ensures efficient operations of Facilities Mgmt. - (Essential)
