Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Executive in Residence for Healthcare Workforce is a part-time, senior advisory role that connects Eastern Kentucky University’s academic planning with the regional and state healthcare community. Reporting to the Chief Medical and Strategic Partnerships Officer, this role provides clinical expertise, professional advocacy, and strategic guidance to support healthcare workforce development initiatives, including the proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Executive in Residence serves as a key ambassador to professional organizations, accrediting bodies, community providers, and policymakers, helping to strengthen clinical partnerships, advance accreditation readiness, and promote EKU’s mission to expand high-quality healthcare education in the region.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an AOA-accredited institution, required.
Experience: Demonstrated leadership in clinical practice, medical education, or healthcare administration.
Licensure & Certifications: Current medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional public speaking skills, a robust professional network within Kentucky, and a deep commitment to osteopathic medical education.
