Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Department of Applied Human Sciences Science at Eastern Kentucky University is accepting applications for a 9-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor to begin Fall 2025. Applicants should hold an earned terminal degree in human development, education, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. The position begins August 2025.
The position serves programs in Applied Human Sciences. It requires at least two years of experience in higher education. Certified Family Life Educator status is preferred. Interest and experience in supervising practicum placements and online teaching is preferred. The successful candidate will teach courses in human development, family resource management, human sexuality, and family studies. Courses could include, but are not limited to Lifespan Development, Identity and Sexuality, Family Stress and Resiliency, Family Finance, and Research. Additional responsibilities include student advising, scholarship, and service.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: An earned terminal degree in human development, education, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
Experience: Two years experience in higher education.
