Job Summary/Basic Functions

An EKU Interior Finisher Tech II completes the initial construction and repairs of university floors, walls, and ceilings. An Interior Finisher Tech II will have knowledge and abilities to work with various finish materials such as ceramic, plaster, drywall, paint, caulk, VCT, LVT, carpet, etc. This position will work closely with the Craft Foreman and Structural Supervisor to complete work orders assigned in a quality, timely, and safe manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: 3 years or an equivalent combination of education experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licensure & Certifications: Requires a valid state driver's license.

Job Duties:

  • 80% - Performs the planning, installation, maintenance, and repair of finish surfaces of all University facilities. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Maintains records of time, materials, and resources according to established procedures and as directed - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supports the smooth and efficient operations of the department and the University - (Essential)
