Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Outreach Coordinator will provide administrative leadership for all aspects, including the design and implementation of services and programs that promote the recruitment, retention, academic success, career readiness, and sense of belonging of students, with specific efforts focused on supporting the university's substantial population of Latinx students and families. In collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs, the Center for Inclusive Excellence and Global Engagement, and the Bobby Verdugo & Yoli Rios Bilingual Peer Mentor and Tutoring Center, this person will serve as a campus resource and internal and external expert on high impact engagement practices for Spanish-speaking students and families. The Outreach Coordinator will develop and promote opportunities aimed at enhancing student personal and professional successes, provide culturally responsive support, including programs that advance leadership assessment and development, career planning and placement, networking and community building at appropriate local, regional and national conferences. The incumbent will report to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: - One year of previous experience in related field is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish including Translation/Interpretation and fluency in oral and written language is required
