Job Summary/Basic Functions

A TRC Senior Programmer/Analyst leads the Training Resource Center system users in identifying problems, finding solutions, developing code and distributing useful resources to solve current and potential informational challenges through analysis, expert knowledge of data, software and languages, research of best practices and excellent customer service to facilitate easy and productive business practices for the TRC Project.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Certification or graduation from a four (4) year college or university

Experience: Three years of programming experience is required.

Desired Qualifications:  Must have proven skills working with a majority of the following: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, C#/.NET, PHP, SQL, GitHub or another version control repository. Extensive training and on the job experience programming using above as well as related computer software and programming languages.

A command of web programming technologies.

Job Duties:

  • 60% - a. Maintains expert knowledge of the application system at both technical and functional levels. b. Develop client side and server side software for modern rich internet applications with the latest technologies. c. Develop new and refactor existing code using the Training Resource Center’s (TRC) current Full Stack framework (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, C#/.NET, PHP, SQL) or other technologies that streamline the production of well documented code. d. Plan and coordinate testing of enhancements and upgrades according to established procedures. e. Develop required and/or requested reports as necessary and according to established procedures. f. Prepares documentation for procedural use of systems and updates as required. g. Prepares documentation for operational staff as required. h. Provides troubleshooting and problem resolution as required and according to established procedures. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Implement and develop front end security practices, as well as integrate with backend security protocols. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Work with end-user to identify user needs and requirements, as well as determine and communicate request feasibility and implications (Technical Burden). - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Marginal)
