Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Training Resource Center (TRC) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Content Creator student to join our dynamic team. This role will support various aspects of content creation, including graphic design, videography, and copywriting, to enhance resources and communications for a wide range of projects for the TRC. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educational technology, multimedia content creation, and a commitment to upholding brand standards across all materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design:
• Provide graphic design support across all TRC divisions, collaborating closely with communications and eLearning staff to achieve team goals.
• Crop, edit, and color correct images using Adobe Photoshop.
• Apply basic principles of layout, design, copy, and color, offering solutions to graphic design challenges for both print and digital formats.
• Ensure all content meets accessibility standards and adheres to brand guidelines.

Videography:
• Assist with video shoots, including setting up and tearing down equipment, staging products, and capturing photography as needed.
• Organize and edit raw footage and produce polished videos.
• Develop and design comprehensive tutorials that simplify complex concepts, using various multimedia tools and instructional design principles.
 
Copywriting:
• Craft relevant and on-brand copy for a variety of content assignments.
• Edit content meticulously for clarity, consistency, and voice, ensuring high-quality output.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff across disciplines.

Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
