Job Summary/Basic Functions
Student Assistant needed for the College of Justice, Safety & Military Science. Responsibilities include standard office duties (filing, copies, etc.); assisting with college-sponsored events, including event setup and cleanup, moving tables, chairs, etc.; data entry; research; social media; and other duties as assigned. Student Assistant will assist with direct recruitment initiatives, including but not limited to building tours, emails to prospective students, direct mail efforts, etc. Student Assistant may also staff the College Advising Office front desk, where they will schedule appointments for academic advisors, assist with basic advising questions, direct visitors throughout the building. Student Assistant will also assist with standard office duties related to filing, copies, and organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications: Must be enrolled at EKU
Preferred Qualifications:
Assisting with college-sponsored events, mailings, data entry, clerical duties, cleaning/organizing, and other duties as assigned. Student Assistant must have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and other common software programs and social media platforms. An outgoing personality, dependability, promptness, confidentiality, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and being a self-starter are required. Students must also be able to lift/move boxes and have reliable transportation. Occasional events/weekends (with prior notice) may be required.
