Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Executive-in-Residence (EIR) and Presidential Fellow for Strategic Initiatives serves as a key adviser to the President and as a representative of EKU. The incumbent is responsible for advising and leading on special projects for the President including but not limited to the multiphase planning of the EKU College of Osteopathic Medicine (EKU-COM) project and other key strategic initiatives. Additionally, the EIR will serve as the primary point of contact to campus partners needing feedback from the healthcare industry or allies related to EKU-COM.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's degree required.

Experience: Ten years of directly related work experience is required.

Job Duties:

  • 60% - Manages all work related to the formation and accreditation of the EKU-COM program for Eastern Kentucky University. Must work with internal and external audiences to ensure deliverables are met timely and collaboratively - (Essential)
  • 35% - Collaborates with staff in the Office of the President and other key executive team members to coordinate and execute special projects. - (Essential)
  • 5% - Utilizes planning software to track and manage projects - (Essential)
