Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Training Resource Center (TRC) Communications Content Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting organizational branding, communication efforts, and website management. This position coordinates projects involving high-profile, brand-specific content and digital and print materials representing the TRC and EKU. A primary responsibility is ensuring consistency and brand fulfillment across all communication materials—both internally and externally produced—across multiple channels. The TRC Communications Content Specialist will contribute to developing and implementing a flexible communication content strategy plan for the TRC. This role involves designing, creating, maintaining, managing, and delivering digital, print, and website materials for various projects at the TRC, helping to maintain a cohesive and compelling brand presence.

Special Instructions: Join our team! www.trc.eku.edu. The Training Resource Center (TRC) provides training and support for Kentucky's Department for Community Based Services. The funding for this position is from federal and/or state funds and is subject to annual renewal. This is a contract EKU position. The position may be considered for full time remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in graphic design, communication, or related field preferred.

Experience: 1 year experience is required. Experience in organizational communications, graphic design or related field is preferred.

Technical skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite tools, and Microsoft Office suite is required.

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Develop and manage a comprehensive communications content strategy for the Training Resource Center - (Essential)
  • 40% - Manage the design, development and production of internal and external communications content - (Essential)
  • 15% - Assist with communication and reporting of TRC research, data and special projects - (Essential)
  • 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
